Paragon's in a rare mood. With the wind rising and the sky an angry, ugly green, he seems to have taken it into his head to sail straight for the heart of the storm.

A tall ship in the grip of ennui is a terrible thing.

Paragon has learned a new song from some denizen of the Nexus. This is also a terrible thing.

He lists slowly to one side, just too far for comfort, and then slowly back to the other side, a motion too unsettling to be anything but deliberate.

And he finds the song very appropriate.

"I am slowly going crazy, one two three four five six, switch."

Back the other way.

"Crazy going slowly am I, six five four three two one, switch."

Captain? Why is there a holiday celebrating pirates?

Norrington's stories about his past have left Paragon thinking. Ships don't have a childhood. No one teaches a liveship to walk, or a figurehead to speak. They quicken, when it is their time.

He quickened so very early. Kerr, the third life to flow into him, should have lived another fifty years before dying on his deck. No childhood at all for Paragon. And his life since then...

Spoilers for The Liveship Trilogy, and insinuations of disturbing content behind the cut. )

I know no one here. There is no one sharing my memories or blood anywhere in this ocean. I shall not sail today.

((Late, but hey, here's a meme.

What would you like to know about Paragon? IC or OOC, and I'll choose which I answer with at random.))

Paragon is rocking agitatedly at his mooring, arms folded tightly across his chest. He knows the serpents are down there. He can feel them, feel the disturbances of long, sinuous forms in the water, and hear the grinding of massive teeth. He heard Guybrush's boat die, and hasn't spoken since.
